Time Flies

1st Day of Kindergarten

Can I just say that he did awesome!?! He did. He was such a good boy and got ready with no problems. Matthew was just thrilled to be headed to kindergarten. There were no tears shed by anyone...not even myself. Ethan yelled his name randomly throughout the day..."MaMoo" My favorite part of the day was when he saw that he and Noah (his best buddy) were dressed the same and said, "Dude, we are totally wearing the same thing." I don't think he quite understands the concept of uniforms yet. He was so cute and so brave today, headed off to Kindergarten!

I just love the hands in the pockets! He's so grown up, isn't he?!

**Every night before bed I ask Matthew was his highs and lows were. Tonight his high was that "he gets to spend everyday with Noah forever." I LOVE THAT!!

- A few favorites -

My grandma, Blue Nanny's, VW Bug, that she bought from my mom. She loves the car but I think my great grandma, Too Too loves it just as much! :)
Ethan loved Too Too too...This picture is a favorite of mine too!

I love the way that Too Too just took a hold of Matthew and squeezed. She's a good hugger for 98 years young. She really enjoyed seeing the boys too! :) They were so kind and gentle with her!
Old Papa, my grandpa, let Matthew paint one of his carvings AND take it home. Working on that carving made Matthew's weekend! He LOVED IT!!

And then there is all of us...taken on a timer, dangling on the railing, in the hopes that it wouldn't fall into the river...I was desperate to have a good family picture!

We went to visit my grandparents and great-grandma last weekend. It was a great weekend, with gorgeous weather, fun times and a lot of laughs. After spending time with family, before we headed home, we went to the Dells and did the Upper Dells Boat Tour and of course, MINI-GOLF. We were sooo tired on the ride home, but it was well worth it. I'll post more pictures when I get more time. For now, these are just a few of my favorites!! :) ENJOY!

Twas the night before kindergarten...

Matthew is VERY excited about kindergarten. He told us tonight that he is MOST excited about learning math and science. He's the most worried about not reaching the basketball hoop in gym class. (ha ha ha!) He took a shower, cut fingernails, picked out his uniform for tomorrow and then he had to make sure his "super cool" belt fit through the loops. He is soooo ready for the big day. Me, on the other hand, well...I'll let you know tomorrow. I can't believe my big guy is in kindergarten!!

Posing with his uniform...

Don't worry it's not a gang sign...It's our "secret code" for kindergarten...can you see it?

It's a k!

Don't let the angelic faces fool you...they were pretending! :)

1.5 years old...

August 23 - My littlest little man turned 18 months. Where did the time go??

More cute pictures...

Clean Kids

Can I just say how sad I'm going to be when I have to cut his hair?? I love that wild mess!

I love his goofy smile!

Tub Crayons - What fun!

Who knew a clearance toddler toy could be so much fun!!?? Matthew and Ethan loved the toddler Crayola bath crayons and made quite a masterpiece on both the walls and themselves.

Another Tooth Fairy Visit...

Yes. The tooth fairy is scheduled for another visit tonight.
It was a tough road getting to this point though and it went a little like this...
When I asked Matthew why I couldn't pull out his dangling, crooked, barely attached tooth, he replied, "I like this tooth. I've had a lot of good times with this tooth. Please don't pull out the only tooth I really love." Are you kidding me!!?!!
Needless to say, I pulled it out. Much to Matthew's dismay! (Seconds after it came out he was cheering because the tooth fairy had to give him more money...My how our attitude changes when money is involved.)

Ethan Shakes It...

Even Ethan had to get in on the action...only he had to "shake it" while he wore the infamous silver chain! I fear what these boys will be like in 15 more years!!

P.S. Excuse the mess!! The toy explosion is courtesy of Ward 1 and Ward 2! Ward 1 was mad that Ward 2 moves things...so he was looking for the toy. Guess what never got picked up...the toys!

Is there a gene for fashion?

Ok, so I'm curious. Is there a gene that is specifically made just for fashion?? Ethan thinks that a sticker (this one had his name on it) on his nose is great fun and really cool to wear. That's not the gene I'm worried about...

It's the gene that Matthew has!! Apparently he's taken a liking for loud, South Philly type jewelry and even likes the hat worn sideways. He was very proud to display his dad's big silver ring and even LARGER AND LOUDER silver chain!! He hasn't taken the necklace off for two days. Should I be concerned or is this just his dad's Italian gene coming through loud and clear?! :)

And yes, he was sucking it in. He really does eat...I promise!

Pirates Cove

On 8-8-08 we went to Pirates Cove and the boys had a lot of fun! It was Super Hero Day, so the kids that worked there were dressed up like Super Heroes. Matthew had a good time burning off some extra energy and climbing on everything. Ethan couldn't do to many of the activities because he's still too little. Overall, not a bad place....but we picked a VERY busy day!
