Getting Ready for the Big Game

Daddy had to help get his future all-star ready for his first game.

Ethan thought all the fuss about baseball pants, cups, stirrups, socks, cleats, hats was all TOO FUNNY!

Look at that smile!

Fixing his OVERLY LONG AND TIGHT socks!

Matthew was VERY irritated here. He did NOT want his jersey tucked in. He insisted that baseball players do not tuck in their shirts and would NOT believe Bryan when he told him otherwise.
Just about ready, but no cleats yet. They aren't allowed in the house...

Videos From the Game

Here are some videos from the game...VERY CUTE! There are twelve of them, so turn up the volume, sit back and ENJOY!

This was awesome!
Matthew at third base.

Everyone preparing for some All-star performances.

Even the paparazzi was there to take pictures. (Just kidding, it's my grandpa, Old Papa!)

Matthew hogging third base.

CUTE BASEBALL PLAYER!!!

Could he be a future pitcher like his dad??
Sliding into home to get the runner out...or was it just to get dirty?

Look at the form on that kid as he fields the ball...

Matthew's BIG cheering section! Thanks to all who came today!!

Mentally preparing to bat.

The swing....CONTACT!

Sliding into third...still no need to slide, but his form looked good.

Gearing up to be the catcher. It's the fastest way to the big leagues.

READY FOR SOME ACTION AT HOME PLATE!!

The after game huddle...

The proud parents and Matthew...future ALL-STAR!

And the best part of all...SNACK TIME!

Mom's Birthday Dinner

The whole family went out to dinner for my mom's birthday to Francesca's.
Happy Birthday Mom!
P.S. Excuse the date again...we did this on April 16th, 2008
Matthew and Nonny with the card he made her...

And now with his homeade caterpillar he made her out of an egg carton and some pipe cleaners.

My grandma, Jane, holding baby Eli.

Cousins 1st Playdate

Lorraine, my mother in law, was in town to help take care of the boys while my parents were gone and she got to meet my new newphew, Eli. This is Tim, my brother, and his wife, Natalie's first little one...and my FIRST NEPHEW!

Getting ready for Baby Hampton (Bryan's sister is pregnant and due in July.)

Matthew, Lolo and Eli

Matthew really did love him and thought he was soooo cute. He was an old pro and knew just how to hold him. He was gentle too. Very cute!!

Reminding Uncle Tim that he knew how to hold babies...LOL!

Ethan, on the other hand, was not as excited. He had little to no interest in this new person.

Group shot...and Ethan making a getaway.

Bathtub Mohawks...So much fun!

He is NOT my child.

How did this happen? How do I have a child that is a White Sox fan?? It can't be possible. This kid throws such a fit when I even mention the Cubs. Sunday, April 13th, Bryan and Matthew went to see the White Sox play the Detroit Tigers. Even my die-hard Cubs fan Uncle Tom went. Something is wrong here...They are all turning against me...
I have to admit, he did look cute in his Sox gear. From the sounds of it, he really enjoyed it. He sat great through the whole game and ate as much as a grown man. He's gonna cost me a lot of money!
P.S. The date on the camera got changed...this is NOT from 2005. OOPS.
