I'm desperate!

I'll admit it. I'm desperate.
I bought my SON a package of GIRL PULL-UPS!!
No. Don't adjust the color on your computer.
Those are PINK pull-ups.
I did it as a means of 'scaring' him into staying dry overnight.
Let's just say it didn't work.
Now he thinks it's fun to see what princess appears next on the pull-up.
I NEED HELP!!
WHAT DO I DO!?!

LOVE THIS!

A few weeks ago, someone told me about a blog that they thought I "just had to see." Well, they were right! It's ingenious. I wish I were this creative. I wish I had the time to even set up these elaborate scenes. Since I can't...I just enjoy her ideas. My good friend Ursula sent me the link today and I remembered I wanted to share it here. Check it out at:

Ethan's 1st Day - 2010

Ethan was blessed this year and he gets to attend Immanuel's Preschool Program. The best part is that he is in a class of 6 total students. What an opportunity to learn!! I took the first few pictures at 7AM before work. He goes to school at noon...

Is he spiffy or what?!

I love his wonky smile!

Babop and Ethan before they took him to school...

Ethan and his teacher, Mrs. Heinz
He totally LOVES her!!

Nonny loved the bathroom!! Ethan took advantage of the little people bathroom as soon as he got to school.

Look out, Tiger.

My kid's the next best thing...

My dad took Matthew golfing the day before school started. He sent me this picture from his phone. If Matthew would have made this putt, he would have made par for this hole. It took him only 2 strokes to get here...

It's unfortunate that he putts like his Uncle Tim and his dad...

He didn't par the hole. He took about 10 more strokes to putt this in...

So for now, Tiger is safe...

Ethan & Nonny

Here's a picture of Ethan and Nonny on his first day of school.
My dad took this picture (Thanks, Dad!) and sent it to me before they went off to preschool. He sure is a sharp dressed kid!!

Hey Mom...

I know you are online reading this!!
Do you want a project??
Do you think you can take my table and make it look similar to this one??
You are the stain master and I'll be your apprentice.
Ya wanna?
Huh?
Huh?
C'mon.
Please??
:)
Love ya, Mom!

Without going into too much detail...I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Thank you to whoever it was that made my family feel so blessed!
Thank you!
Thank you!

First Day of School 2010

My boy is in second grade. Still hard to believe. I know time goes quickly, but to look back over the past few years of 'first day' pictures, it's amazing how much of the "little boy" he's lost. He certainly has grown taller and wiser, but he still loves with a huge heart and truly wants people to like him. I pray that this year he'll be blessed with good friends, great teachers (which he has and has had) and lots of wonderful memories. Happy first day of school, Matthew!!
His teachers, Mrs. Meier and Mrs. Holfels
Don't ya just love big good-byes from little brothers???

Butter 'Em Up!

Yep. I butter up the teachers even on the first day. I saw this on one of my favorite websites: http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/
My original intentions were to make cookies to look like a calculator, but I'm a procrastinator by nature....so that didn't work. This was the next best thing and I completely love it!! I'm a teacher (well, unemployed, but still) and I know I'd LOVE this on my first day of school!!

'Twas the night before school...

The night before the first day of school (at least for Matthew) was actually later than intended. We managed to get everything done....even if we were a bit later than we had hoped!!

Matthew's ready for SECOND grade!! Ethan's not so ready for PK3. He's totally going to love it though!!

Precious Moment Eyes..

My mom always says Ethan looks like a Precious Moment...
I love his big ol' eyes!!
Even when he's making goofy faces!

LOVE THIS!

I found this at a craft fair...I may have to make these for Christmas!!
It's my new favorite knick knack!
Besides...it has polka dots on it!!

I'm in love with Molly!

While the hubster was in the city, he thought of the wifey and kids and brought us home some cupcakes. So...this is for Lorraine. Since she can't have them on demand, the pictures will have to do! :) Here's your cupcakes, LoLo! :)

Yep. All boy.

There's no denying it. This kid is all boy. He's got no fear and he'll try anything once. Matthew got to spend the afternoon 'helping' my dad work on his deck. This is the picture my dad sent from his iPhone. I'm not sure he's helping...but he's certainly having fun! I guess if he fell and broke something he would have learned his lesson. He didn't. So...I'm sure there will be more ramps in my future! Yay me.

Wind Tunnel...

I forgot to load this video for my mother in law...we were in a wind tunnel at the Science Museum, with winds blowing at 80 mph. Somehow I couldn't turn the giggles off!

Spray Paint Attempt

I always read online how easy it is to use spray paint and attempt to makeover something! Well, last summer I spray painted my kids' plastic table and chairs. OOPS. Ruined that.
This summer, I decided to try again and go for something smaller. I needed a basket in my laundry room and LOOK what I happened to find...an old Easter Basket.
It really was simple.
It really does look cute in the laundry room!!
I'll attempt the spray paint makeover again soon!

Ethan's Boredom Caught On Tape!!

Seriously...as we walked around the flea market, Ethan did this:

Apparently, he wasn't a fan of the flea market either!!

Lake Geneva

This past weekend, my parents, Ethan and I drove up to Elkhorn for a flea market. Not too impressed, we left and wandered around Lake Geneva. My dad's been in the market for a boat, so we got to do some slip shopping and boat browsing! I think they found one, too!
Ethan didn't care much about the boats...but the ice cream was TASTY!
In fact it was so good, he decided to wear most of it. OOPS.
Does anyone know of some good stain remover?
While my mom and I shopped, Ethan and Babop soaked up the sun!
Our last stop, after a change of clothes, was for some good eats at The Abbey!
Shockingly, Ethan didn't fall asleep until we were only 5 minutes from home! This kid had a long, hot day!!
