Another Snow Day...Gotta Love it!

I'm so sick and tired of the snow and the cold. Bring on the spring!!
My boys, on the other hand, are LOVING the snow...still! Today they played outside for so long, their clothes were actually SOAKING wet underneath their snowpants and coat. They are loving what I'm hoping will be the last weeks of snow.

Only the cool kids are wearing goggles outside. Don't be jealous! :)

Ethan's Room

I just wanted you all to see my 'baby's' room. There are some things that still need to change around in here, but for the first time I feel like his room is really his! He loves to play in here all by himself and he LOVES his stuff. I need to find some curtains still and a bed skirt, but other than that...here it is.

The boys still love to play in the 'kitchen' so that will stay here for I'm certain a long time!

I love his bed!! The star was used on my front door, until my mom told me to put it over his bed! What an ingenious idea! This is where Ethan spends most of his time, reading his books and playing with his toys...the Lorax is his current 'must-have' to sleep with.
This mirror has been around for a while. It was in my parents house (I want to say it was an anniversary gift, but I'm not 100%), then it hung in our bathroom, our bedroom and now it's in Ethan's room. It's made the rounds!! The bear pictures are from Tennessee when we were on vacation!

Did I mention I love his bed!?

My 1/2 of the Party

My parents were so kind and threw me a graduation party at La Tratorria in Lake in the Hills. The owners have become friends of ours over the past 6 years and have seriously the best food around!! It's a shame he doesn't make his famous fries anymore...but if you ever decide to stop in, tell Mariano and Theresa we sent ya!! :)
Anyhow...these lucky people gave me life and have been so supportive of me during this process! A huge thank you to them!! I love you!

My pops and I...can you tell we are related?! My buddy, Randy My favorite little chunka-munk...cheesin' for his aunt!

My baby brother and my momma
Me, Uncle John, Jenna, Jonathan, and Aunt Lori

You outdid yourselves!!
At home...getting the boys all ready for bed before Poppy and Lolo head back east

Flowers from my hubby - Love them, hun!! Thanks for all your kind words over the past 18 months. Your support was very important to me. Love you!!
And how lucky am I to have a M.I.L that even arranges all of my bouquets...with a sense of humor!
Thank you to everyone who made my party so special! It was important to have you all there to help me celebrate. Everyone's support has been instrumental in getting me through this without going crazy! Thank you!!
XOXO

Ethan's 1/2 of the Party

Ethan and I shared parties this year, a birthday party for him and a graduation party for me!! He was so excited...can you tell?!
A scooter from Nonny and Babop...THANKS!!
A Nintendo D.S. from Poppy and LoLo...THANK YOU THANK YOU!
A personal favorite: Matthew is reading the card from him. He actually wrote on the inside. It went like this:
"Dear Ethan, I wished it wasn't your birthday today. Love, Matthew"
Can you say jealous??!
Don't you love a face that shows just how excited he is about a handful suckers?!
Yes. He's shy. Go figure. Every year when we sing to him, this is the face we get. What a hoot!
The family
Matthew, Ethan and tiny 'photo bomber,' Eli. :)
Ethan lovin' on his godmother, Tracey
Ethan lovin' on his Great Grandma
Ethan lovin' on his Dad
The next night was his real birthday, so we went to Famous Daves. Everyone loves a cornbread muffin to help celebrate their birthday, right? Or is that just me!?
The boys with Nonny and Babop
This face is going to give me lots of grey hair!!
Lovin' on my baby...who is not such a baby anymore!
Happy birthday, Ethan and thanks to everyone who helped make his day extra special!! He certainly is loved by many!!

ENJOY!!

There was a surprise growing......who turned into one of the best surprises we could have ever asked for!
He turned Matthew into a BIG brother...
...and me into a mother of TWO boys. But best of all...it turned us into a *complete* family of FOUR!
Today our little surprise is 3 and he's a combination of fire, fury and frenzy.
Plain and simple, he's ALL OURS and we him dearly!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Ethan! God's blessings on many more happy years!!
We love you!
(The sleeping picture is at EXACTLY 12:53, making him EXACTLY 3! Thanks Dad and Tim for taking those!)
